Choose the buyer before searching
A city service contract, school supply purchase and airport project may use different portals. Start with the buyer whose facilities or purchasing needs match your service. The directory below links to official starting points; a directory entry does not mean DEEBid imports every notice from that buyer.
Work through one search from start to finish
For a cleaning business serving Jefferson County, check Metro and JCPS separately. Repeat the search with custodial, janitorial, cleaning and floor care. Read results individually to distinguish a service contract from a purchase of cleaning products.
- Open the official project and record its notice number and location.
- Download the solicitation, scope, pricing schedule and posted amendments.
- Record separate dates for questions, required site visits and final submission, including the time zone.
- Check whether registration or approval is needed to obtain documents or submit. Complete those steps before bid day.
- Return to the official project before submitting and acknowledge amendments as instructed.
Decide whether the operating requirements fit
Check staffing windows, travel between sites, access restrictions, inspection standards, insurance and any wage or bonding provisions included in the solicitation. Ask unclear scope questions through the buyer’s stated process before its questions deadline. A nearby building can still require staffing or cash flow beyond your capacity.
Keep a short buyer watchlist
Save the official project link, notice number, service, decision owner and next action in your working list. Use portal alerts where available and check the official notice when an alert arrives. An email alert or a DEEBid preview is a starting point; the issuing buyer controls the requirements.
