Pierce County acquired the property from Washington Department of Natural Resources in 1998. The property is split by the Tacoma Water Pipeline and Pipeline Trail as well as 84 th Street East. The portion of Orangegate Park south of 84 th St East is open to the public and features trailhead parking and walking/equestrian trails. The focus of this project is to develop the 40 acres north of 84 th Street East (Orangegate Park North) utilizing the documents enclosed in the bid package.
