Volusia County Artificial Reef Deployment
OpenGov · Invitation To Bid [ITB] [Updated 03-17-2026]. The Volusia County Coastal Division is responsible for the permitting and construction of all artificial reefs offshore of Volusia County. There are currently 18 artificial reef sites and over 160 individual artificial reefs anywhere from 1 to 33 miles from Ponce Inlet in depths from 50 to 130 feet. The Contractor(s) will be responsible for providing the vessels, equipment and manpower to safely load and transport reef materials from the County’s artificial reef yard to a barge then safely and accurately deploy the materials at GPS locations provided by the county’s artificial reef coordinator.
